It is a gift that blesses our life and helps us grow in ways that we would never imagine. Is it any wonder than many people are consumed with finding “the one”? Is it any wonder that when things aren’t working out we feel like a part of us has been ripped to shreds?
So many times I have seen people “trapped” by what they call love, as if they are paralyzed and can’t move. They may be scared to move forward, scared to let go, and scared to stay where they are. Could it be that our definition of love has gotten so distorted along the way that we have lost sight of what love really is?
I have seen way too many people trapped in “patterns” that were programmed into them, or even infatuations; and claiming to truly have love or be in a love relationship. In talking with them, I find there are no foundations of love at all in the relationship. True love most certainly exists; and it comes in all forms, shapes, and sizes. However, one thing I have learned, is where love exists there is an expansiveness that is limitless and a willingness to step into the best self we can be.
