Have you struggled when trying to discern whether you are listening to your “Higher Guidance” or “Ego”?

Today, I’d like to share some of the techniques that I’ve used to Tune-up my intuition and to discern whether the message I’m getting is intuition/higher guidance or my ego.

Top 5 Methods of Discernment

“God Bumps”…

Look familiar? Well, those bumps on your arm with hair standing up can be one of the easiest methods of discernment. Whenever I am pondering something or I get an idea or feel inspired, I like to pay attention to how my body feels. For those of you who consider yourself Kinesthetic, learning to tune in and then pay attention to the physical signs can be very helpful.

For me when I get “Goose Bumps” (I call them God Bumps), it’s always a very clear signs that I am getting the message from my “Higher Self”, or “Source”. If they intensify and start tingling in my hair and down my legs, I know I’m getting a direct download from Source. In addition to God Bumps you may find that you feel something in your chest or your stomach. A tightening in the stomach is most likely to mean “No” and Feeling Light Hearted or even God Bumps may be your “Yes” sign. Learn to understand what those feeling are and what they mean for you and you’ll easily be able to discern whether it’s ego or real guidance.

Muscle Checking

The next method I like to use is Muscle Checking. When done properly, many people
find this tool to be very helpful. There are several keys for this to work successfully. First it is extremely important to be well hydrated, second having your chakras opened and balanced, so that the energy is flowing from head to toe, helps with the accuracy,third choosing a muscle checking method that works for you is important. One of the biggest keys to successfully using muscle checking, is to be able to focus on learning the answer that is in your highest good, without focusing on what you believe the answer is, or focusing on what you want the answer to be. You can definitely cause this method to be inaccurate if you have an idea in your mind about what the answer should be. For this reason, when I find that I’m focused on how I want things to work out, I do a blind study / blind muscle checking, so that I don’t affect the results.

Practice Getting Clear Messages

One of the simplest ways to build your intuition is to find something that you can tune into regularly and get an answer. For example when the phone rings, before looking at caller ID or answering the phone say to yourself, I wonder who’s calling and listen for the answer. Without second guessing make a mental note of whose name popped into your head first. You’ll find over time that you will get better and better at getting the right answer. When I was actually tracking this and doing it regularly my accuracy was well over 90% of the time.

Dowsing

A pendulum is a great tool for dosing and a simple method to discern whether what is coming to you is ego or guidance. I recommend that you do this using the blind study/blind muscle checking. Sometime back a friend called and he had lost his wallet. He had just left the local drug store and when he got back home his wallet wasn’t with him. He called the drug store immediately and they said that he had not left it there. My intuition said that they just hadn’t found it yet, but I wanted to be sure, so I listed out all of the possibilities of where the wallet could be based on what my friend shared with me. I then wrote each of those down on an index card, shuffled the index cards, placed them face down and quickly used the pendulum to determine where his wallet was. The clear answer was the drug store. I had eliminated my own belief about where the wallet was by doing the blind test and when he called the drug store back, they had just located the wallet.

Improving Your Intuition with Krystagraphs™

 

One of my favorite methods of discerning answers from a higher realm is to hold the Krystagraph™ for Following Your Intuition in my non-dominant hand  and asking for guidance. Your Beliefs about Your Intuition

One of the common beliefs I’ve heard many times and I shared it for years, is that “I’m not intuitive” or “That’s for Psychics and Mediums”. It has been my experience that everyone can learn these techniques. The value of tuning in to your intuition can make the difference between success and failure. For me I went from the fear of losing my house before I could sell it and putting it on the market “For Sale by Owner” (so I wouldn’t have to pay Realtor Commissions) for a price that was $17,000 greater than the local realtors would consider taking it as a listing price. Over the next 10 months, my inner guidance brought me money to make every house payment, when each month I had no idea where the money would come from.

My intuition guided me to continually raise my asking price, in a situation where I desperately felt as though I needed to sell the house. Had I listened to the Realtors at the beginning, I would have likely sold the house for $200,000 and paid a Realtor commission for that sale. As it turned out, I did eventually hire a Realtor, who allowed me to raise the asking price 3 times even though conventional wisdom would have said I was crazy and I ended up selling that house for $265,000 cash.
