Krystalya Marie’: I’m in debt, working 60 hours a week just to keep my head above water, how can I possibly find any joy in my life when all I do is work, sleep and eat?

Carolyn A. Brent: Krystalya, this is such a great question, let me start off by saying; I know exactly what you are going through, from first-hand experience.  My personal finances have ranged from earning a high six-figure income to having no income. I have experienced massive debt such as student loans, mortgage, and the high cost of medical expenses. Also, I have experienced paying off all of my debt.  All too often, once you’re financially-free, a sudden
and unexpected emergency may Carolyn Brentshow its ugly face, causing you to go into debt again. But I firmly believe your goal is always to live a financially-free life. It is a fantastic feeling to live a life that is free and clear of debt.

Nearly fifteen years ago I had the opportunity to learn from the financial guru Dave Ramsey, of whom I have written about in my new book. Boy, did my life change drastically once I understood his concepts on finances and started implementing his economic principles. His get out-of-debt system really works!

In 2016, was the first time I had ever experienced a debt-free life. But, unfortunately a few years later, I received an unexpected invitation from the IRS. Can you imagine the stress I felt? Believe me, that is an invitation you never want to have. But, instead of staying stressed out about it–I faced and tackle my “new” tax debt head-on; which I talk about in my new book.

So, to answer your question, I highly recommend Dave Ramsey’s books, classes, mentor’s, coaches/cheerleaders, educators, Financial Peace University, and FREE workshops at a church in your area that teach the “Snowball Plan” to financial freedom. Dave’s system will help you Track your progress through the 7 Baby Steps. Take it slow and steady!

The Baby Steps are designed to be followed one right after the other, leading you out of debt and into a life of saving and giving. Millions have worked this proven plan. So can YOU!

The following are steps to get you started…

Step 1: Write Down Your Total Income

Step 2: List Your Expenses

Step 3: Subtract Expenses from Income to Equal Zero

Step 4: Track Your Spending

Step 5: List your debts from smallest to largest.

Step 6: Make minimum payments on all debts except the smallest—throw as much money as you can at that one. Once that debt is gone, take its payment and apply it to the next smallest debt while continuing to make minimum payments on the rest.

Step 7: Repeat this method as you plow your way through debt. The more you pay off, the more your freed-up money grows—like a snowball rolling downhill. Chapter 13 The Real Connection Between Health & Money.

Krystalya Marie’: Are there different types of exercise for different body types and if so, can you define the body types and the differences in the types of exercises for each?

Carolyn A. Brent: Let’s begin with three simple and short definitions of the body types.  You may have some qualities of each in your body, but most people have one primary type.

  1. Ectomorph: Lean and long, with difficulty building muscle.
  2. Mesomorph: Muscular and well-built and highly suited to muscle building activities like body building.
  3. Endomorph: Large, often pear-shaped, with a lot of body fat and a high tendency to store it.

Fitness Planning for Ectomorphs

Research shows that ectomorphs may look skinny and find it hard to put on weight, but they can have more body fat than you think, especially as they age. They have the ability to develop lean muscle quickly and easily. Ectomorphs need to be careful not to over train.

Fitness Planning for Mesomorphs

Mesomorphs have naturally athletic bodies, large bone structure, and dense muscle mass. They have an ideal body type for body building.

Fitness Planning for Endomorphs

Endomorphs usually have a more significant amount of body fat and muscle. They have the capacity for high fat accumulation and storage. In addition, endomorphs are known to have smaller shoulders, shorter legs and arms with a larger bone structure.

Full details are in my new book in its entirety for all body types, daily exercise and meal plans. Chapter 10: How to Exercise for Your Body Type and Abilities.

Krystalya Marie’: Is there a connection between Health and Money and if so can you define what that connection is?

Carolyn A. Brent: What is The Real Connection between Health and Money?

Herophilus, the ancient Greek physician said, “When health is absent, wealth is useless.”  Another sage, the Roman poet Virgil, said it in a different way: “The greatest wealth is health.”  Both of these wise men recognized that riches do not mean a thing if you do not have your health.

The opposite is also true, however. If you don’t have money, it is harder to have health. Having money makes it easier to be healthier much of the time. You have money for trainers, health clubs, trips to relax, supplements, and, of course, medical care…  Learn more: Chapter 13 The Real Connection between Health and Money.
